Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia U-20 Girls National Team has finished their last training session in preparation for their debut game at the WAFU A U-20 Girls Tournament in Guinea-Bissau, indicating that they are fully prepared for the task at hand. At the Estádio Nacional 24 de Setembro, the young Lone Star girls will begin their campaign against the host country, Guinea-Bissau, at 4:00 PM. They have great expectations for a successful start to the regional competition.
Liberia will play Senegal on Matchday 2, Mali on Matchday 3, and Gambia on Matchday 4 in a challenging fixture lineup as they attempt to advance through the competition.
Goalkeepers Makula Konneh and Grace Young, a strong defensive unit led by Angel Brown and Esther Massalay, and a dynamic midfield anchored by Louis Brown and Bendu Yantay are just a few of the promising players from every unit that head coach Famatta Dean has put together. The cutting edge in front of goal is anticipated to come from the attacking line, which includes Dalphine Glao and Olive Nyumah.
Along with vice-captain Angel Brown, Louis Brown has been given the responsibility of leading the team. As they take on the best in the region, the pair is expected to lead the team with energy and unity. Liberia enters the competition determined, focused, and prepared to proudly represent the country on the regional stage, while maintaining a strong sense of team spirit.
