Monrovia – Monrovia City Mayor Jefferson T. Koijee has threatened a lawsuit against Cllr. Jerome Verdier former head of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) for allegedly accusing him of masterminding the alleged Armed Robbery attacks at the home of former Chief Justice Cllr. Gloria Musu Scott which lead to the death of her daughter. Addressing a news Conference Friday, February 24, 2023, in Monrovia, Monrovia City Mayor Jefferson Koijee termed the allegation as false, misleading, malicious, devilish, untrue, unfounded, misguided, and intended to smear his hard-earned reputation.
The MCC boss claimed that information coming from Cllr. Verdier is political and is been sponsored by the opposition Community; aimed at tarnishing the image of the government to International partners.
He used the occasion to inform the public that his team of lawyers is gathering Legal instruments against Cllr. Jerome Verdier. However, Mayor Jefferson Koijee could not deny nor confirm whether or not Varlee Telleh works with Him at the Monrovia City Cooperation and said he does not feel comfortable talking about who works for MCC or not.
It can be recorded that the former Truth and Reconciliation Commission boss accused Monrovia Mayor Jefferson Koijee of masterminding the killing of former Chief Justice Cllr. Gloria Musu Scott daughter in the Brewerville Community. Cllr. Verdier spoke on a local radio station Spoon FM late Thursday evening. Cllr. Verdier maintained that Mayor Koijee sent an employee of the Monrovia City Corporation name Varlee Telleh to carry on the dubious act.
The Former TRC Boss Verdier alleged that Telleh was particularly sent by Mayor Koijee to murder Cllr. Scott but Telleh, unfortunately, killed the former Chief Justice’s Daughter and injured another.
