    Liberia National Fire Service has been changed to the Liberia National Fire and Rescue Service.

     The Liberia National Fire Service Boss Alex Dickson announced the change in the name of the entity following the signing of a new organo-gram title the Liberia National Fire and Rescue Service. The new organo-gram document which was signed Monday, November 1, 2021 is a revised document that change the name of the Liberia National Fire Service to the Liberia National Fire and Rescue Service. Fire Service Boss Col. Dickson describes the signing as a milestone achievement and added that the document seeks to provide guidance for officers of the Liberia National Fire and Rescue Service.

    According to him the crafting of the document started in 2018 before the signing ceremony in this year 2021. With the signing ceremony the name of the Liberia National Fire Service to the Liberia National Fire Service and Rescue Service.

    Meanwhile, Col. Alex Dickson has disclosed that about eight firefighting trucks, one ambulance and operational vehicles are expected to arrive in country early next year. According to him the eight fire trucks, one Ambulance and two operational vehicles are intended to enhance the operations of the Liberia National Fire and Rescue Service, and to empower firemen to timely respond to fire incidents in Liberia. The fire service boss narrated that the lack of firefighting equipment, logistics and adequate budgetary allotment has been a major problem impeding the smooth running of the institution.
