Liberia Taekwondo Federation to Adopt a New Constitution.

Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia Taekwondo Federation will hold a congress on April 5, 2025, in Montserrado to approve a new constitution. Among those attending the event are the Liberia Taekwondo Federation’s leadership, club or dojo heads, Masters of Council, and several other dignitaries.

Prior to Ramadan, the Congress was scheduled for Saturday, March 29, 2025. However, the leadership decided to move the event to April 5 to ensure that Muslims may finish their celebrations.

After creating a new constitution, the Constitution Review Committee sent copies to each Dojo so they may comment and submit recommendations to Congress for formal ratification.

Once ratified, this constitution will be the first federation has had since 1994 and will comply with the international body’s criteria.

Following the federation’s formation, the first constitution was drafted in 1974. But the President, Master Junior Pewee Russian, is rebranding the sport nationwide, and part of that effort includes the constitution’s drift.
