    Liberia Under 17 smash Austra counterpart 2-1

    Liberia’s Under 17 Men’s Soccer Team has started a weeklong international friendly tour in Austra with a great result. The Lone Star under 17 beats Austra Wien FC Under 18 on Thursday, by 2 goals to 1.

    Saah Moses and Jonathan Freeman gave Liberia a 2-0 lead in the early minutes in the second half but Austria Wien FC under 18 pulled a goal back to end the match 2-1 in favor of Liberia.

    Liberia’s next match will be against Redbull Saizburg under 17 at 15:00 GMT (3:00 PM) this Friday, June 24, 2022, in Lindabrunn. The Lone Star will take on First Vienna FC on June 26 at hone Warte in Vienna, while their preparation will climax against Rapid Wien FC under 18 on June 28 at the Allianz Stadion in Vienna.

    Liberia’s under 17 Men’s team tour of Austria is part of their preparation ahead of their participation in the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Zone A men’s under 17 Nation’s Cup qualifiers in Cape Verde. The Head Coach Ansu Keita and technical staff make no change to the team that started the 2-0 victory against Morocco at the Antoinette TubmanStadium on June 11, 2022, in Monrovia.

    According to the coach, his team players include; Onesimus Beyan (Goalkeeper), Melvin Gzah, Saah Moses, Jonathan Freeman, Divine Fallah Johnson Jr., Alhaji Samukai, Abel Tarr, Sam Vasco Sumo, Darlington Mitchell (Captain), Alvin SulayKolo and Emmanuel Favor Fully. Others are, Justin Joejoe, Aryeh Miller, Anthony Gustavo Paska Jr., Kindness Cole, Mitchell Dolo Lavella (goalkeeper), David Mensah Jr., Raphael Peters, Sumo Kollie, Stephen Davies, Emmanuel Miracle Monger (goalkeeper), and Sekou Amadu Sheriff.
