Liberians Calls on Boakai Administration to Audit CDC and former UP Administrations

Monrovia, Liberia – Several Liberians has called on the incoming administration to audit the CDC and Ellen Johnson Sirleaf-led administrations as part of their efforts to win back investor trust. The request by Liberians for Boakai’s administration to audit the CDC government and, consequently, the former UP government will serve as a model for other governments to follow, demonstrating Liberia’s willingness to combat corruption.

They advise that the audit be carried out covering all areas of the nation and that it should be focused on the system rather than on opinion or political ideology.

A large number of Liberians, including individuals and corporate organisations, accuse the government led by the CDC of causing hardship for the common people. Some residents lamented living on less than the minimum wage, while others brought up issues with unemployment and mistreatment at work.
