Monrovia, Liberia – Sara Beysolow Nyanti, Liberia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Dean of the Cabinet, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Cybastion Institute of Technology, marking a major cooperation meant to improve Liberia’s digital infrastructure. The building of a new data center and the installation of an underwater cable to increase the digital connectivity of the country will be the main emphasis of this cooperation.
Under the “Digital Fast Track” (DFT) Program, the MOU signing held at the Westin New York in Times Square starts technical conversations among several federal entities. Focusing on the enhancement of digital services and infrastructure all throughout Liberia, the program aims to hasten the digital transformation of the nation.
Minister Nyanti thanked President Boakai during the ceremony for his visionary leadership and support of this important alliance with Cybastion. She underlined the need of the cooperation in propelling Liberia toward improved digital infrastructure and services, pointing out.

“Today’s signing sets the stage for deeper technical discussions with relevant government agencies on the delivery of digital services as part of the ‘Digital Fast Track’ Program. The Government of Liberia, under the leadership of His Excellency President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, views digital infrastructure as a cornerstone for accelerating our national development goals, encapsulated in the ARREST AGENDA. This agenda focuses on Agriculture, Roads, Rule of Law, Education, Sanitation, and Tourism.”
Minister Nyanti also mentioned the expected visit of Cybastion’s team to Liberia for additional talks and the start of the project execution.
Founder of Cybastion Institute of Technology, Dr. Thierry Wandji welcomed President Boakai’s vision and confirmed the company’s will to expand its digital infrastructure projects to Liberia. Leading cybersecurity and digital transformation projects across Africa, including Cote d’Ivoire, Niger, Burkina Faso, Benin, Central African Republic, and Namibia, Dr. Wandji is a cybersecurity specialist with great expertise working with the U.S. government. The business wants to become involved in other West African nations like Liberia, Guinea, Ghana, and Sierra Leone.
Strengthening cybersecurity and digital capacities all throughout Africa has been much aided by the Cybastion Institute of Technology.
