The commercial hub of Duala on Bushrod Island was a scene of attraction and surprises over the weekend as several mobile money subscribers of Liberia’s leading GSM company Lonestar Cell MTN through its mega promo program “MoMo Waysay-Wasa version 2 week three” gave away USD$5,000.00 cash prizes and items to lucky customers and agents in several parts of Liberia.
The selection was done through a raffle draw which was week three since the program was launched. This time it was at the Lonestar Cell MTN branch in the commercial city of Duala in the presence of representatives of the National Lottery Authority (NLA).
In his welcoming remarks at the program, Mr. Prince Chesson, Product, and Services Manager at Lonestar Cell MTN told the gathering that it was a great day for Lonestar Cell MTN customers and agents.
He said after the company had launched the Waysaywasa version 2 two weeks ago and conducted its first draw at the company’s central offices in Congo Town, with people from Montserrado, Nimba, and other counties winning cash prizes and items, it was another raffle draw for mobile money users to again walk away with several valuable prizes.

In brief remarks, National Lottery Authority (NLA) Monitor, Odicious B. Massaquoi said the MoMo Waysaywasa campaign is so interesting that people continued to express their smiles, adding that the presence of the NLA is to make sure that the winners receive their prizes. He noted that the MoMo Waysaywasa is not about 419 and cautioned people to answer when they are called. “Please when you are selected answer your calls. Lonestar MTN does not want money from you, the only valuable thing you bring is your identification card to collect your prize.”
At the raffle draw held on Friday, July 16, 2022, 33 customers won cash prizes of USD$ 50 dollars each, from each of the selected counties including Gbarpolu, Nimba, Grand Kru Montserrado County at which time during the draw, a female customer subscriber also won brand new Techno smartphone while at the same time other customers from Nimba County and Monrovia respectively won the two TVS motorbikes. Additionally, two agents in Montserrado County won USD$200.00 dollars each.

Customers and agents who won were immediately called by the Lonestar Cell MTN MoMo Waysaywasa campaign team. Some who lived in Duala and parts adjacent trooped to the Lonestar Cell MTN office in Duala in their jubilating mood to collect their prizes.
The customers and agents following receipt of their prizes, in separate remarks, expressed gratitude to Lonestar Cell MTN for the program. They said their selection came as a shock and told the audience that they are happy with the prizes and encouraged others to take the MoMo Waysaywasa campaign seriously and transact using mobile money.
They further expressed that anyone can become a winner. At first, when I received the call I didn’t believe it but when I received it for the second time and you didn’t ask for money, I knew that it was true, that was how I rushed here, said Lionel Dolo of St. Paul Bridge winner of fifty united states dollars.
It may be recalled, that Lonestar Cell MTN launched its second mega promo life-changing program of amazing prizes for lucky customers and agents.
