Foreign Ministry Calls for Trade, Economic and Development Diplomacy.

Monrovia, Liberia – Representing Sara Beysolow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Nyei, Deputy Minister for International Cooperation and Economic Integration, reiterated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will promote cooperation with other countries in the areas of trade, economic and development diplomacy.

Underlining the close political ties with friendly countries, Dr. Nyei acknowledged the challenges ranging from limited state capacity to issues of multilateral agreements affecting bilateral collaboration. Dr. Nyei said Minister Beysolow Nyanti is organizing capacity at the Ministry and coordinating efforts across government to solve these challenges and assure Liberia receives maximum benefits from Liberia’s international cooperation activities.

With an eye toward industrialization and agro processing, the Deputy Minister thanked the government of Indonesia for preserving the close relationship between both nations, which shares and upholds the sustainable development goals, (SDGs) with partnership in improving the agriculture and energy sectors of Liberia.
