Pres. Weah Congratulates Sierra Leone on 62nd Independence Anniversary

Monrovia, Liberia – As Sierra Leone celebrates its Independence Day, President George Manneh Weah has sent greetings on behalf of the Liberian government and people to those in Sierra Leone. President Weah sent congratulations on Sierra Leone’s 62nd Independence Anniversary through his counterpart, Julius Maada Bio, of the Republic of Sierra Leone, in a message to him.

According to a statement from the Liberian Foreign Ministry, the Liberian President emphasized that as Liberia joins the friendly people of the Republic of Sierra Leone in commemorating this landmark, it is his hope that the relationships between the two governments will be further deepened for the benefit of the two countries and their respective peoples.

President Weah expressed optimism that the two governments would continue to cooperate to advance security, prosperity, and peace throughout the ECOWAS region and the continent.
