Release: Senate Holds Retreat Today on Key Legislations

The Senate Judiciary Committee today, February 4, 2022, began two days retreat at the Capitol Building.

A Senate release quotes the Chairman of the Committee, Grand Cape Mount County Senator, Cllr. Varney Sherman as saying that the retreat is intended to expedite deliberations on key vital legislation and issues before the Senate.

According to Senator Sherman, several bills including the Alien and Naturalization law to provide for Dual Citizenship, Expedite the Financial Intelligent Agency as a substitute of the Financial Intelligent Act, the Money Laundry, and Terroristic Financial Law.

The release further mentioned that the Whistle Blower Act will be considered among others during the deliberations.

Meanwhile, the Senate Banking and Currency Committee has been invited to associate with the hearing.
