Monrovia- President George Weah’s annual State of the Nation’s Address is slated for Monday, January 30, 2023. The chairman of the House of Representatives Executive Committee has developed the protocol for the occasion and proclaimed the Capitol Building a no-go area for visitors. Acarus Moses Gray, the representative for Montserrado County District 8, claims that rules have been established by committee members for the president’s State of the Nation Address.
According to him, only expedited Journalists would be allowed to cover the president’s speech, and they would be confined to a specific area. The District #8 lawmaker emphasized that national security would be on high alert during the process, and urged citizens to avoid Capitol Hill if they were not involved in order to prevent embarrassment.
Representative Gray said that participants and supporters of the government will assemble along the street to thank president Weah for the level of development in the country during his remarks on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs, and Tourism’s MICAT regular press briefing.
Representative Gray has also emphasized the necessity for more financial support for the Ministry of Information to carry out the government’s agenda. In order to help the Ministry of Information spread government policies, more work needs to be focused there, according to representative Gray. In his opinion, providing the Ministry of Information with more resources will enable it to effectively raise public understanding of how the government functions.
