Chinese Embassy Donates 1000 Bags of Rice To MOE

The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Liberia has donated one thousand bags of rice and other food items to the Ministry of Education to be given to schools as a means of supporting the school feeding program in Liberia. The government of Liberia and its partners are fully supporting school-going children with food as they attend classes.

The program is intended to help keep children in school, especially children whose parents can not really provide lunch for them whiles in school. The donation includes rice, and vegetable oil among other items, the donation was made on Friday, September 2, 2022, in Congo Town-Liberia by the Chinese Ambassador H.E. Ren Yisheng.

Donated Food items to Liberia Education Ministry

Receiving the rice and other items on behalf of the Ministry of Education, the Minister of Education, D. Ansu Sonii thanked the People of China through its Ambassador, H.E. Ren Yisheng on behalf of the government and people of Liberia. He committed the Liberia-China relationship on behalf of President George Manneh Weah.

Meanwhile. Minister Sonii cautioned those in charge of the food distribution to focus more on schools and communities that are most in need of the food, especially the primary and Early Childhood divisions of the school system.
