    Richard T. Martor grassroots soccer tournament progresses to quarter-finals stage as tournament favorites booted out

    The Richard T.  Martor grassroots football tournament has reached a quarterfinals stage but tournament favorite Africa New Stars Sports Academy has bid farewell following their 1-0 defeat to Christ Embassy Football Academy and a 2-2 draw with Liberia Football Academy.

    Their defeat leaves Nation One Academy as the favorite to claim the tournament if they can overcome Christ United in the quarter-final stage. Scholar FC and Christ Embassy Football Academy will be up in the next quarter-final in game one at 9 am.

    Liberia Football Academy will also take on the tournament hosts Anything is Everything Football Academy. The quarter-finals stage will be played on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Barnesville Estate Sports pitch in Montserrado.
