River Gee County Crown Champion of NCSM Football category

Monrovia, Liberia – River Gee County’s football team has finally win the National County Sports Meet after 15-year struggle. The team’s thrilling finals encounter against Lofa County, which concluded in a penalty shoot-out, give them the championship with help from their goal keeper saves.

The guys from the Southeast region demonstrated their abilities and tenacity on the field throughout the competition, putting on a fantastic show.

Their diligence and tenacity paid off, as they won the 2022–2023 National County Sports Meet championship.

Along with the football team’s victory, Rivercess County earned a name for itself by taking first place in the Kickball division.

Representing their territories with pride and distinction, both counties have demonstrated excellent sportsmanship and dedication.

Cheering on their team as they hoisted the championship trophy, River Gee County football fans and supporters celebrated the long-awaited victory.

In addition to signifying the team’s accomplishment, the victory fosters pride and cohesion among the entire county.
