Monrovia, Liberia – Senator Nathaniel McGill of Margibi County has characterized a recent statement on Punch TV’s official Facebook page asserting that he owns LIBENERGY as baseless, untrue, and a deliberate attempt to damage his name.
The media outlet asserted that in April 2023, Mr. Monie Captan, the CEO of the Liberia Electricity Corporation, deliberately engaged into a joint venture business deal for the organization purportedly owned by Senator McGill for the Southeastern Power Grid Asset Management deal for Liberia.
Ex-Minister of State for Presidential Affairs and current Senator Margibi explained in a press release late on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, that he has no company called LIBENERGY and that he has no business arrangement with Mr. Captan or the LEC.
At the same time, Senator McGill asked the people to ignore the whole lie and asked the media to get in touch with his office to hear his side of the story before publishing such hateful, baseless, and evil accusations.
The legislator went on to demand proof from Punch FM or TV management proving he is the owner of LIBENERGY. Senator McGill declared that he will not be sidetracked by the antics of these critics and that he is still transparent and dedicated to the Liberian people.
