Monrovia, Liberia – President Joseph N. Boakai has charged the newly commissioned ambassadors to serve with commitment and integrity. During the commissioning event held at the Executive Mansion in Monrovia on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, President Boakai urged the commissioned ambassadors to act as the nation’s spokespersons and mouthpieces in their respective roles.
President Boakai declared, “As ambassadors, you now have a greater task to seek for Liberia’s bid on the Security Council as a non-Permanent member.”
Being an ambassador is not a simple job, he said, adding that ambassadors’ representation of the nation will aid in Liberia’s development. He urged the commissioned ambassadors to serve the nation honestly.
“We are commissioning people to represent our nation today because we intend to build it for ourselves; no one else will do it for us,” he said.
According to the Liberian leader, no nation can surpass another if its people are committed to progressing for the sake of future generations. “When you take a public office, you are there for the Liberian people, not the President,” said President Boakai. He explained that Liberia has everything to make it develop if it is managed properly.
