U.S President Joseph R. Biden sr. has sent a letter of invitation to Liberia President George Manneh Weah to participate in a special meeting with the American Leader and special participants from Africa.

The pronouncement was made during the official program marking the 175th Independence Day Celebration by the United States of America Ambassador to Liberia Micheal McCarthy on July 26 in Monrovia.

The meeting organized by the American Leader is a special African Leaders Conference from selected African states to interact with Mr. Biden at the White House in Washington DC.

Mr. Weah upon receiving the message welcomed the invitation and promised to be in full attendance and at the same time appreciated the U.S President for recognizing Liberia as a long-standing partner in progress.

Meanwhile, the invitation from the U.S has been hardly discussed in the Liberian media and the Liberian citizenry. While others see the invitation as a plus and boost for Liberia, others see it as a normal invitation. As the world leader, the U.S has always been a place and a country every country around the world especially African countries will want to associate with.

The latest invitation from the U.S President to President George Manneh Weah of Liberia shows the strong relationship between both countries.

The U.S. African Leadership Summit is slated for December 13-15, 2022, in the U.S.
