Paynesville City, Liberia – Liberian female champions, Determine Girls received a significant boost on Tuesday morning as US-based striker Angeline Kieh officially commenced training with the team at the Samuel Kanyon Doe (SKD) Sports Complex in Paynesville.
As the defending champions get ready for the CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU Zone A Qualifiers, to be held in Senegal later this month, Kieh, a former outstanding forward for Earth Angels FC, joins her new colleagues.
Determine Girls made a calculated decision to strengthen their team ahead of the continental season with the much-anticipated arrival of the prolific scorer, who arrived in Monrovia last week. Kieh brings a wealth of knowledge from her playing career in the United States to the team, where she joined on a short-term loan.
Kieh, who is noted for her leadership abilities, speed, and goal-scoring desires, is anticipated to change the Liberian champions’ game. Her acquisition improves the team’s offensive options and gives an already skilled and driven group a touch of international experience.
Determine Girls are now aiming for regional success after dominating the domestic competition to win the championship title. With Kieh on board, the squad is making it very evident that they are not only competing in the qualifications but also want to win.
Top women’s clubs from all around West Africa will compete for a prestigious position in the main competition in the CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU Zone A Qualifiers. Although Determine Girls are anticipated to encounter fierce competition, they are regarded as one of the favorites because to their bolstered team and increasing momentum.
Both supporters and fans are hoping that Kieh’s arrival will lead to a successful run that puts Determine Girls in the national limelight as preparations get underway in full.
