HE FEEDS OVER 3,000 CHILDREN AND 1,381 PRISONERS ON CHRISTMAS DAY

Monrovia, Liberia – Indian businessman Upjit Singh Sachdeva has received recognition from a number of Weala and Margibi County residents for his many selfless acts of humanitarianism throughout Liberia, particularly in Margibi County.

The residents stated that although Mr. Sachdeva, also known as Jeety, has had success in his commercial endeavours, he has never forgotten the value of giving back to the community, and as such, it is impossible to overstate how much they respect his charitable endeavours.

In observance of Christmas, Jeety and his crew fed over 3,000 children, earning him the honour on Christmas Day. This act demonstrated Jeety’s dedication to improving Liberian society.

Along with providing hot meals, water, and soft drinks to approximately 1,381 prisoners at Monrovia Central Prison (South Beach), Jeety also donates extra plates and spoons to the prison. Among the detainees are some underprivileged teenagers from Monrovia, also known as Zogoes.

Remarking during the gowning of Mr. Sachdeva, Cinta Township Commissioner Roland Johnson said their decision is a demonstration of the good they continued to receive from the Indian business tycoon in their community.

Commissioner Johnson, speaking on behalf of the citizens, added that their decision is in recognition of the fact that Jeety’s philanthropic efforts have not gone unnoticed by them as direct beneficiaries of his kindness.

Johnson noted that Jeety’s contributions to the welfare of the less fortunate and prisoners in Monrovia, as well as the people of Weala and the country at large, have already earned him respect and admiration from both locals and authorities across Margibi County.

The Commissioner, whose face was beaming, continued to express his gratitude to Jeety and his team for building the Jeety Rubber LLC factory in Weala and installing running water. He added that the facility has already started to strengthen the local economy and create thousands of jobs for residents of Weala and the surrounding areas.

“The Jeety Rubber LLC facility is a testament to his love for this country and its people. We thank the Liberian government for fostering an atmosphere that encourages investment.”

“Hence, we from this community want to thank you, Jeety, and we love and appreciate all that you are doing for our country and its citizens.”

In response, Jeety thanked the people for their support and the gift they had given him. He also underlined the importance of celebrating and providing for those he saw as the nation’s future leaders.

Acknowledging that Christmas may be a trying time for people without parental guidance or who live in tough situations, he also said that he and his team are dedicated to making sure that the youngsters have smiles on their faces on every significant occasion.

Jeety and the crew also planned a wonderful children’s party, making sure that every child in attendance felt the love and joy of Christmas, in order to make sure the kids experienced a glimpse of hope and happiness throughout the festive season.

Jeety organised the celebration with gifts, entertainment, and decorations in cooperation with the county local administration and volunteers. The children’s happiness and smiles were evidence of the positive effects Jeety’s actions had on their lives.

On the other hand, Jeety’s honour is a monument to his selflessness and dedication to the welfare of others. He has demonstrated his profound awareness of the difficulties encountered by some Liberians throughout the year with his steadfast support for inmates and children throughout the holidays.

In addition, his contributions have surely had a lasting impact on the lives of people he has touched, inspiring others to follow in his footsteps.
