AME University Signs Partnership with Teach For Liberia to Strengthen Education Access and Leadership

Monrovia, Liberia – A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Teach For Liberia and the African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU) to increase the number of possibilities for AMEU graduates to work in underprivileged schools around Liberia.

Five Fellows will be chosen from the AMEU candidate pool. The relationship creates a structured framework for AMEU alumni and graduating students to join the Teach For Liberia Fellowship. Through the Strong Girl and Climate Education programs, the agreement also encourages collaborative efforts in women empowerment, climate education, and leadership development.

Through this partnership, AMEU will assist with recruitment on campus, advertise the program to students and alumni, and collaborate closely with Teach For Liberia to monitor results and assist with execution.

Rev. Dr. Alvin E. Attah, president of the university, reiterated AMEU’s dedication to preparing graduates for service and national development, pointing out that the relationship represents the university’s emphasis on real-world involvement and quantifiable educational impact.

Both parties expressed excitement that the partnership will improve learning outcomes in communities and schools and increase teaching capacity.
