Benoni Urey, the political leader of the All Liberian Party, and Joseph Nyumah Boakia, the standard bearer for the Unity Party, were seen flying in a chartered private jet to Nigeria on Wednesday, December 7, 2022. It is reported that the two politicians frequently criticize President Weah for flying on a private jet and wasting the Liberian people’s money.
The two opposition political figures have come under serious criticism for boarding a chartered flight while many Liberians are suffering, noting that the attitude of the two politicians is no different from President Weah.
A trending social media image displays Unity Party standard Bearer Joseph Boakai, and Benoni Urey of the All Liberian Party in a chartered aircraft recently. According to Information, the two political Leaders are on an expedition to negotiate with other African heads of state ahead of the 2023 general and Presidential elections seeking more support.
As a result of the recent photos, several individuals have begun criticizing Joseph Boakai and Benoni Urey, who always frowned at President Weah for traveling on private jets during some of his foreign trips.
The Critics wonder why would the opposition leaders engage in acts they often condemned others of doing.
Amid the criticisms, Unity Party’s newly elected Secretary General Amos Tweh said the private Jet belongs to a friend of the UP political Leader Joseph Boakai. The UP Secretary-General noted that the private Jet belong to a friend of the UP Standard Bearer who lives in the West State of Nigeria.
