Supreme Court Rule in HoR Case

Monrovia, Liberia – A warrant of prohibition requested by the minority bloc of Speaker Fonati Koffa has been refused by the Supreme Court Chamber Justice.

In order to stop their colleagues from having separate sessions in the legislature’s joint chambers, Speaker Koffa and his 30-member petitioned the court.

Justice Yarmie Quiqui Gbeisay, however, refused to issue the writ and urged the parties to reconvene in the Capitol Building to resolve their impasse.
