Deputy Speaker Fallah Launches Pro-Boakai Movement

Foya, Lofa County—A new movement has been launched to support President Joseph N. Boakai’s reelection, pledging to run for the Unity Party’s second term across the country. Under the leadership of Deputy Speaker Thomas Fallah, the National Independent Movement for Boakai (NIMBO) is a combination of individuals from different political backgrounds, including independents, sympathizers, and members of the opposition Congress for Democratic Change (CDC).

Hundreds of supporters wearing purple regalia marched down Tubman Boulevard at the movement’s new headquarters in Congo Town, which is across from the Ministry of Health, and pledged their steadfast support for President Boakai’s reelection in 2029. Deputy Speaker Thomas P. Fallah, the organization’s founder and current Deputy Speaker of the 55th Legislature, announced that the movement would run campaigns throughout Liberia’s fifteen political districts in order to secure President Boakai a second term.

On Sunday, May 24, 2026, Deputy Speaker Fallah informed the sizable assembly that NIMBO was founded in 2025 with the express purpose of re-electing President Boakai in 2029. He informed the audience that this group was founded in 2025 with the explicit goal of re-electing you in 2029. In less than a year, Mr. President, you have witnessed what citizens have accomplished without your party’s or your own engagement. Fallah continued, “A group of Liberians has united to mobilize support for you.”

Instead of being a liability to the administration or the Unity Party, the Deputy Speaker emphasized that the movement will attract support across the country to ensure President Boakai’s win. Additionally, he disclosed that in the coming weeks, NIMBO delegates would go to Australia, Canada, and the United States to establish branches of the movement there.

Deputy Speaker Thomas Fallah and members of the National Independent Movement for Boakai were congratulated by President Joseph Boakai for their “strong vision and commitment to national development.” President Boakai declared, “We have started to see that this country has all the goods, and we believe the sky is the limit with this kind of support.”

The president claims that as part of larger youth development programs, his administration has already established a National Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Bank and is currently pursuing the creation of a football academy. As an example of his administration’s dedication to national development, President Boakai cited the installation of earthmoving machinery around the nation, ongoing road connectivity projects, and upgrades to schools and medical institutions.

He emphasized that his administration’s goal was to provide a better future for the coming generation rather than just winning the next election. In order to solve issues in the nation’s electricity sector, President Boakai also said that Liberia has secured an agreement with a foreign partner for the construction of electrical transformers in Liberia.

According to the Liberian leader, we are here to create this nation for future generations. Some people think that nothing positive can happen until they take action, yet when you offer them the opportunity, they are unable to take action. Representative Anthony Williams of Maryland County revealed during the event that 49 members of the House of Representatives have promised to back President Joseph Boakai’s reelection campaign.

According to Representative Williams, 49 members of the House of Representatives have joined Thomas Fallah’s National Independent Movement for Boakai (NIMBO). Representative Williams pointed out that after seeing the work of President Boakai’s administration, MPs from a variety of party backgrounds including independents have chosen to support him. He claimed that President Boakai has a good chance of winning the 2029 presidential election with the support of 49 legislators.
