Washington DC, USA – Deputy Speaker Thomas Fallah told reporters in Washington, DC, following the first day of the Liberia Diaspora conference, that he hopes to see Liberia free of political or personal interests and support one national goal.
He told reporters that while he is uncertain of his political position whether in the ruling party or the opposition he has concerns about seeing Liberia rebirth and transformed, something that President Boakai said he is committed to.
According to him, he is steadfast in his support of the Liberian leader because he shares President Boakai’s passion for the country’s development. “I am here because I support President Boakai, and I will always be here to show my support for his administration,” he reiterated.
Representative Fallah emphasized again that he is working to make sure that the agenda of President Boakai is accomplished in concert with his.
“I am a new Thomas Fallah,” he said, “very objective, free thinker, and I think this is the right path to take. I also have the right to support whoever I want to, and I am doing that now for President Boakai.”
In response to concerns expressed by Diaspora Liberians on the opening of consulates in other nations, including Australia, Sweden, and several European countries, he promised to support such a campaign for the sake of the nation and its people.
“Diaspora Liberians have a fair perspective, and we will try our best to encourage our colleagues to join the discussion,” he said.
