Monrovia, Liberia – Divine Teah, a midfielder from Liberia, has begun training with Hammarby FC, a premier league team in Sweden, the club stated on its official Facebook page.
A pre-contract agreement for 120,000 USD transfer fee was signed by the young attacker for Nimba FC and Hammarby in 2023.
Nimba FC reportedly received more than 60% of that sum; the remaining transfer money is said to be pending the signing of a permanent contract.
Following the celebration of his 18th birthday in April of this year, the 17-year-old will sign a permanent contract.
Hammarby new boy has earned several caps with the senior national team of Liberia underhis previous coach, Ansu Keita.
A number of European teams, including seven-time league champions AC Milan, Gent of Belgium, Sporting Lisbon of Portugal, and German team Bayer Leverkusen, were mentioned in a previous investigation by Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano.
