On Sunday, April 9, 2023, Fallah Devine Johnson junior scored as LISCR FC trounced Invincible Eleven 5-3 to close the gap on the 2022/2023 LFA National 1st division title to three points. Son of a member of the renowned George Weah Eleven, Fallah Johnson Junior.

His father, Fallah Johnson Senior, who owns and runs Elite Football Academy, transferred him to LISCR during the mid-season transfer window.

Although the youngster does not play right back like his father did when he was an active soccer player, he has earned several caps for the Liberia under-15 junior national team as an attacker and has scored multiple goals to his name.

Little Johnson was a member of the Ansu Keita-coached Liberia under-15 junior national team that competed in the 2021 WAFU Youth Championship in Conakry, Guinea.

In their three games, they won one, drew one, and lost the other. They finished second in their group after losing 5-3 to the host nation, defeating Sierra Leone 5-1, and drawing 2-2 with Mali. In each of the games, the LISCR FC attacker was crucial, BUT finished the competition with two goals.

Divine, as he affectionately called, is very close to winning a silverware with the “Shipping boys” and might win a double if they can outshine Watanga FC in the Orange Cup grand final on 30 April.

With only two games remaining to conclude this edition, the national league is still a two-horse battle between LISCR and Bea Mountain. With 56 points after 24 games, LISCR is in first place in the league, and a victory against either Sandi FC or Heaven Eleven in their last games will handily win the title.

With the same number of games played, Bea Mountain is in second place with 52 points. If LISCR fails to win any of their games, Coach Robert Larteh’s team will have a point to prove at the end of the season and they must win their remaining games.
