Monrovia, Liberia – The World Football Governing Body, FIFA, has officially congratulated first division League winner of the 2023/2024 Liberia Football Association.
Watanga FC of Paynesville, Montserrado County became the winner of the 2023/2024 national first division league with 61 points scoring 54 goals.
On Friday, April 26, 2024, Watanga public relation officer, Roland A. Bandorkai confirmed to Reports231 Media Network that the letter was send from FIFA on Friday, April 26, 2024, 16:00 GMT. He termed the letter as a boost for the team.
The letter signed by FIFA president, Gianni Infantino, congratulated Liberia’s champion (Watanga FC) for winning the 2023/2024 national first division league in Liberia.
The letter from FIFA is a first of a kind for a Liberian team to receive such honor.
