    Grand Gedeh and Nimba Confirmed Quarter Final Spots in the 2024/2025 National Sports County.

    Monrovia, Liberia – Grand Gedeh County, the host of Group B, secured a quarterfinal spot in the 2024/2025 National County Sports Meet on Wednesday, January 15, following a deserved 2-1 victory against Montserrado County in the football division. Additionally, the Grand Gedian defeated Grand Kru 2-1 in their first meeting.

    One-time champion Lofa defeated host Sinoe County 2-1 in Group C with  goals from Emmanuel Flomo and James Tarpeh. This gave them a chance to go to the quarterfinals. After a 1-1 tie with Gbarpolu County in their first meeting, the Wolosizi boys have four points from two games.

    Maryland defeated Grand Bassa 2-1, while the Kpatawee boys of Bong County defeated Bomi County 3-0 after losing their first game 1-0 to Grand Bassa.

    Nimba secured a quarterfinal spot in Grand Cape Mount after settling for a 0-0 draw with Rivergee County, the reigning champions. After two games, the Maintainers have four points. In Greenville City, the Rivercess Cestos boys defeated Gbarpolu County 1-0 as well. Margibi County also defeated Grand Kru, a past champion, 1-0.

    However, the complete results of the Kickball category matches are as follows: Maryland 0-0 Grand Bassa, Nimba 6-1 Rivergee, Bong 4-0 Bomi, Lofa 3-0 Sinoe, Grand Gedeh 3-0 Montserrado, Gbarpolu 3-1 Rivercess, and Grand Kru 1-1 Margibi.
