    Jarl wood, Liberia Cyber Warriors; Leads Delegation to ECOWAS Cybersecurity Hackathon Final

    Monrovia, Liberia – Renowned Cyber Security experts, Victor K. Jarlwood, Jr. and Liberia Cyber Warriors Team are expected to head and lead Liberia at the Cybersecurity Excellence, amid Liberia
    Qualifications for the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Cybersecurity
    Regional Hackathon.

    The ECOWAS Cyber Security Regional Hackathon in a congratulations message to Liberia’s team dated August 1, 2024 said that the Road Ahead, Preparing for the Finals in Nigeria after a month of rigorous qualification rounds, the team is now preparing for the finals in Nigeria October.

    We are thrilled to announce that Victor K. Jarlwood Jr. and the Liberia Cyber Warriors Team, has qualified Liberia for the ECOWAS Cybersecurity Regional Hackathon for the third time. His leadership and technical expertise have positioned Liberia as one of the top emerging cybersecurity countries in the region” the communication noted,” the letter noted.

    The communication claims that Jarlwood and the Liberia Cyber Warriors Team have shown unmatched ability and dominance during the qualifying round, therefore highlighting Liberia’s rising sector of cybersecurity relevance.

    The correspondence also revealed that their successes mirror the commitment, creativity, and diligence required to firmly place Liberia on the regional cyber map. The correspondence further said that Liberia is poised to compete among the top contenders and that this level will compile the greatest cybersecurity teams from all over the ECOWAS area.

    Mr. Jarlwood and his group are hoping that this success narrative will motivate government and business backing alike.

    Supporting Liberia’s involvement in the ECOWAS Cybersecurity Hackathon is more than just a national pride project, the team explaining Liberian should support the Liberia Cyber Warriors Team underlined. With the appropriate help, the team thinks Liberia can become a champion in ECOWAS finals in October will feature cybersecurity.

    We are asking corporate businesses, government agencies, and individual sponsors to join us in supporting our effort as we head into the finals. Together, we can give the Liberia Cyber Warriors Team the tools they need to compete at their best, the group said.

    They curbed that Liberian should unite in making this a moment of national celebration, not just for cybersecurity enthusiasts, but for every Liberian proud of our nation’s growing influence in the global tech community.

    They also said that as cyberthreats always changing, countries that fund the development of competent cybersecurity teams will be more suited to protect their infrastructure since cybersecurity is the foundation of digital progress.

    “National Security: A robust cybersecurity team protects national data and digital infrastructure. Global Recognition: Winning the hackathon would place Liberia on the international stage, highlighting the country’s technical prowess. Future Workforce: By supporting this team, companies and the government are helping to nurture the next generation of cybersecurity experts.”
