Labour Minister Kruah welcomed newly appointed Inspector General

Monrovia, Liberia – The Senior Management Team and Labour Minister Cllr. Cooper W. Kruah, Sr. attended a brief ceremony as the Ministry of Labour formally welcomed Mr. John O. F. Kangbah, its recently appointed Inspector General.

The appointment of Mr. Kangbah, according to Minister Kruah, is a timely and smart step that will boost the enforcement of Liberia’s labor laws and reinforce the Ministry’s monitoring roles. He highlighted how important the Inspectorate Division is to maintaining workplace compliance, encouraging respectable work standards, and defending the rights of companies and employees.

Senior management representatives promised the incoming Inspector General their complete support, emphasizing the value of cooperation, openness, and solidarity in enhancing the Ministry’s effectiveness and impact on the country.

IG Kangbah responded by thanking Minister Kruah and President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. for their confidence in him. He pledged to maintain professionalism and accountability in all labor inspection operations, strengthen compliance mechanisms, and improve field inspections.

The Ministry reiterated its dedication to advancing decent employment, raising labor standards, and guaranteeing a secure and equitable workplace for all Liberians.
