LAF Reelects Mulbah Zaza for Third Term as President

Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia Athletics Federation (LAF) has reelected Mulbah Zaza for his third and last term as president. Zaza was re-elected along with Madam Gbuor S. Wilson ( Vice President for Administration) and Frederick B. Krah ( Vice President for Technical Affairs and Development), during an Extraordinary Congress in Congo Town on Saturday, March 21, 2026.

In accordance with Article 10 of the LAF constitution, Mr. Moses S. Zogar was elected to a second term as Financial Secretary. “Elections for the President, Vice-Presidents, Executive Board members, and other elective posts shall be conducted by the Elective Congress (held every four years unless otherwise determined).”

Former 800- and 1500-meter runner Zaza has been in charge of the LAF since 2011. Before that, he was Vice President for Technical Affairs and Development. Delegates changed the LAF constitution during the Extraordinary Session following the elections in order to improve justice, good governance, and the advancement of athletics.

Continentally, The 3rd-term’s President of the Liberia Athletics Federation (LAF) has recently being elected to the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) Region II Council.
