Liberia students petition Gandhi to re-contest LINSU Presidency in the up coming election.

Scores of university and secondary students across Liberia have petitioned the President of the Liberia National Students Union Mohammed Gandhi Kamara to re-contest in LINSU’s upcoming 5th post-war general congress. It can be recalled; early November this year, some aggrieved students of the University of Liberia call on Mohammed Kamara to resign his post for the delay in taking LINSU to congress.

Mohammed Kamara who has served the Liberia National Student Union for over two years replaced former LINSU President Varney Jersey in 2018. Speaking to a team of Journalists Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at the main campus of the University of Liberia, the group of students spokesman Lawrence Gray said their petition for Kamara to re-contest is based on the magnanimous and impeccable workings of his leadership.

According to Lawrence Gray, since Kamara’s ascendency, he led multiple struggles against some of President Weah’s policies that countered the agenda of Liberian Students. He added that today, the Mohammed Kamara administration is doing very well to push Liberia students’ agenda.
