Monrovia – Simeon Davis, the driver who reportedly stole USD$70,000 from the CPP’s “We Tiyah Suffering Rally,” has been charged and forwarded to court by the Liberia National Police. Theft of Property and Misapplication of Entrusted Property are the charges against Mr. Davis, according to Police Spokesman Moses Carter, who spoke at a news conference on Friday in Monrovia.
Mr. Carter added that the police inquiry had determined that Mr. Simeon Davis was suspected of stealing USD$65,000 in addition to other goods. He mentioned that Mr. Martin Kollah had told the police that his driver, Simeon Davis, was accused of stealing a bag containing USD$65,000, an ECOWAS passport, a Techno phone, and other valuables.
It can be recorded on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, Simeon Davies was officially turned over to the Liberian Police authorities in Sierra Leone after been arrested by INTERPOL.
The Police Spokesperson reiterated the LNP’s commitment to holding offenders fully accountable while urging civilians to be calm and reiterating that state security is on track and will ensure that Liberians and others live in peace.
