The Superintendent of the Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS) has disclosed that there are plans to construct a state of the ark modern technical vocational training institute and the first modern public High school on the Old Road.

The High school when constructed will host students from the SKD Boulevard, Peace Island Community, Oldest Congo Town, Airfield Community, and the entire District #10 in Montserrado County.

The MCSS, boss noted that students have struggled over the years to have access to quality education and his intention is to create an enabling environment for all MCSS students and those residing in  Montserrado County.

According to Isaac Saye-Lakpoh Zawolo his Leadership is anticipating constructing technical vocational training Institutes at all of the  MCSS High schools in Monrovia.

Lamenting, the technical vocational training Institutes, Mr. Zarwolo said, these training centers will greatly help students when they have graduated from High school not many of them will immediately enroll at a University after graduation.

It is better for them to enroll at some of these quick impact vocational training Institutes while preparing for higher learning Institutions the MCSS head noted.

According to him, it will be an added advantage; this is intended to build the capacity of young people who don’t have the means of continuing their education at the university level.

He narrated that there are some Community dwellers that have not completed High school and want to acquire some vocational and technical training skills. He stressed that it is disheartening for students to travel long distances to acquire education in the 21st century. He maintained that under his watch, MCSS will become one of the best sectors in Montserrado County.

He used the occasion to inform the public that there are lots of transformations at all of the MCSS institutions and there are plans to transform Boatswain Junior High school into a modern public High school in Monrovia.

He made the statement on Friday, May 6, 2022, at the Samuel Kanyon Doe sports complex practice patch in Paynesville where he went to watch the soccer match between the ministry of education and the ministry of YOUTH and sports which ended 0 – 0.
