MDR Chairman Cautions Politicians to Debate Issues Affecting their Communities

The National Chairman of the Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction has cautioned politicians to debate issues affecting their communities and counties so as to advance proposals aimed at resolving them rather than attacking personalities. Counselor Cooper Kruah, Minister of Post and Telecommunication, said political parties should go about personalizing the discussion by addressing the issues affecting their people and leaving rooms for negotiation with others .

Counselor Kruah spoke when a resident of District Four Montserrado County Dr. Andrew Wonghen declared his membership of the Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction in Congo Town during the weekend.

“As the National Chairman of the newly named Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction, I caution all individuals desiring to join our party to address the concerns in the area you want to bring about change.”

Liberia has a lot of resources, clever, and educated people, counselor Kruah stated: “We have more to gain focusing on issues than to focus on individuals and we will have to speak to each other after the end of the political age.”

The program which was held during the weekend , was graced by large number of people including youths and women groups, cultural troops , some members of the national executive committee including Kelvin Matadi, the MDR National Vice Chairman for Press and Public Affairs, among many others.
