Monrovia, Liberia – Joshua Solomon, a senior sociology student at the African Methodist Episcopal University and a 2009–2010 graduate of Monrovia College, passed away. The magnificent model and beauty pageant trainer Solomon was implicated in a rebellion that occurred at the Sinkor mansion Vamoma on the day of the Unity party’s concluded political campaign team naming program in Monrovia.
Solomon, 35, a member of the outgoing Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) of President George M. Weah withered to his injuries sustained on August 11, 2023. Prior to Solomon’s violent outburst, there had been a fight between Unity Party and Coalition of Democratic Change supporters close to the Vamoma House, which resulted in several injuries to partisans from both parties.
The CDC’s supporters are said to have initiated the altercation by attempting to stop the UP, one of their political rivals, from travelling to their campaign headquarters to announce the launch of their campaign.
Our reporter claims that members of the Unity Party attacked a bike rider who was thought to be a CDC member, sparking the altercation. A video of Solomon being attacked with sharp items has subsequently gone viral on social media, showing him attempting to flee. In the end, he managed to get away from the resentment of the irate mob and sought care at a nearby health facility.
On Friday, December 1, 2023, at a nearby hospital, the model passed away, just three months after the incident. He survived a concussion, serious bruises, physical trauma, encephalitis, slight dislocation, and other conditions, according to a medical declaration from the specific health centre that has been circulated on social media.
Political unrest in the nation has been sparked by Solomon’s passing, with calls for justice for him. The late Solomon family has urged the public and government to put an end to the political squabble over his remains. They ask for the peaceful burial of the late Solomon.
This news network could not get the administration of the hospital before this publication.
