Monrovia’s water supply Restored after Significant Pipe Repair

Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC) has verified that an important burst pipe has been successfully repaired, paving the way for Monrovia and surrounding areas to resume receiving water.

According to LWSC Managing Director Mohammed Ali, the company also had fruitful discussions with the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC), which resulted in a deal for the water treatment facility to receive a continuous, round-the-clock supply of power.

Water flow through the 36-inch main gearbox line should began today, according to Ali.
Thousands of people in Monrovia and the neighboring areas were affected by water shortages that lasted for many days.
