Police confirmed one person dead in Nimba County as a resulf of Land dispute

The Liberia National Police has confirmed the death of one person and three wounded in Ban, Nimba County following a land dispute in the area. Speaking at a news conference on Thursday, November 18, 2021, in Monrovia , Deputy Inspector of police for operations Marvin Sarkor noted that one person died and three injured as a result of the discharged of singer barrow doing a scaffold between citizens of Ban and Batu town in Nimba County.

According to Inspector Sarkor, following the incident police officers have been dispatched in search of those responsible for death and injuring of the peaceful citizens adding efforts are underway to bring perpetrators to justice. The deputy police boss said, the police will leave no stone unturned and individuals responsible for any crimes in Liberia, while encouraging citizens in the two towns to be kind.

Meanwhile, inspector Sarkor has disclosed that police is investigating George Freeman, Diamond Vincent including others for engaging into electoral violence doing the Tuesday by-elections in Bong, Nimba, Grand Gedeh and Bomi counties.
