Monrovia, Liberia – Mustapha Raji, the president of the Liberia Football Association, has promised to utilize football funds to construct infrastructure around the country. He said this at the Liberia Football Association’s 29th Ordinary Congress, which was held at the Swakermore village in Paynesville. Mr. Raji stated that because his administration prioritizes player safety and protection, the construction of stadiums and mini-fields will continue to be a top priority nationwide.
The SKD practice pitch, Doris Williams Sports Stadium, Tusa Field, and BYC field are just a few examples of the sporting facilities that have been constructed under Raji’s leadership and are currently being used comfortably. Other projects are still in the planning stages and development stages. Nimba County are currently the newest beneficiaries of the state-of-the-art sports complex in Gompa Nimba County.
Mr. Raji emphasized that his administration promised progress, which they are now delivering on and demonstrating in order to promote the sector sector growth. The LFA Boss also pledged that he and his team will keep working to make wise choices for Liberia’s football growth.
According to him, football should always be played in a calm manner since it represents a message of peace. “We are coming, Grand Gedeh, Maryland, Rivergee, and others, we will make sure that football money is used to develop the game across the country.”
He reiterated that it is time for football’s integrity to be upheld nationwide. “Let’s fight racism, drug abuse, and money laundering together as a football association and stand tall to promote the game.”
Speaking in favor of the game, Mr. Raji called on President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, the Chief Patron of Sports, to get actively involved in supporting the game in Liberia. He also encouraged businesses and government Institutions, and organizations to assist clubs and athletes, respectively.
