Paynesville, Liberia – Several government officials, including Liberia’s Vice President Jowel Howard Taylor, Liberia Maritime Authority Commissioner Lenn Eugene Nagbe, and Monrovia City Mayor Jefferson T. Koijee, have been accused of sending supporters to attack Senator Prince Johnson at his church during service hours.

Senator Johnson vowed to respond with hundreds of his supporters if such action is repeated. It is alleged that a group of yiung people believe to be from the National Patriotic Party Youth League gathered at Senator Johnson’s Christ Chapel of Faith Church in Paynesville early on Sunday, May 21, 2023, disrupting regular church service operations at the building.
