Monrovia, Liberia – At the age of 15 years and 9 months, Yamal became the youngest player to make his Barcelona first team debut in April 2023. Since then, he has emerged as a vital member of Barcelona’s squad and the Spanish national team, renowned for his clever dribbling and attacking skills.
Yamal missed a number of important games in November 2024 due to a right ankle injury he sustained during a Champions League encounter against Crvena Zvezda. He has been receiving therapy, and how well he recovers will determine when he may resume playing.
Yamal has drawn a lot of interest from elite clubs despite his youth. Yamal’s importance to the squad was highlighted when Barcelona president Joan Laporta disclosed that the team rejected a €250 million bid for him in the summer of 2024.
