Chinese Embassy in Liberia holds Media Round Table.

Congo Town, Montserrado – Representatives from 14 media outlets participated in a one-day strategic discussion with Chinese Ambassador to Liberia Yin Chengwu. The Fourth China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, the Ministerial Meeting of Coordinators on the Implementation of the Follow-up Actions of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), and the relationship between China and Liberia were all introduced by Amb. Chengwu.

Ambassador Chengwu also highlighted commemorative activities marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, as well as the founding of the International Organization for Mediation (IOMed).

In order to foster more productive collaboration between China and Liberia, Yin underlined that China is prepared to sincerely execute the directive of President Xi Jinping’s letter of congratulations to the Ministerial Meeting of Coordinators on the Implementation of the Follow-up Actions of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).

Additionally, Ambassador Chengwu commended the Liberian administration for the degree of friendship, which he said is founded on respect for one another. Separately, the Liberian journalists present at the occasion praised the Chinese Embassy for the degree of assistance provided to the media.
