MINISTER DEAN HAS DONE NOTHING WRONG, LET HIM BE
Monrovia, Liberia – Ledgerhood Rennie, Liberia’s Minister of Information has appealed to Liberians to refrain from involving Frank Musa Dean, Minister of Justice, in the ongoing lawsuit involving the former Chief Justice.
The Minister of Justice Frank Musa Dean has done nothing illegal in the ongoing Investigation, according to Minister Rennie, who made the claim during a press briefing held at the Ministry of Information, Culture, Affairs, and Tourism (MICAT) on Thursday, June 22, 2023, in Monrovia. He said, no one should disparage Justice Minister Dean without cause because he is a lawyer of considerable standing and reputation.
In his defense, Minister Rennie added that there are groups of Liberians calling on Minister Dean to recuse himself from the case because of his relationship with the former Chief Justice something he described as a high level of deception. Those who are making such claims are a group of individuals who don’t know anything about Legal issues.
”Minister Dean has served this country professionally, when people volunteer to serve their country, they do so with great reputations, respect, and wealth, but what they receive in return is insults and abuse from groups of citizens who do it out of favor for those who have less, dragging them into political mud, this is shameful.”
Minister Rennie asserted that Justice Minister Dean has done nothing against the state to deserve such treatment from citizens by calling for his resignation. He maintained that Minister Dean cooperated with the Authority of the Liberia National Police throughout the investigation as such Liberians should desist from such behavior.
This is the second time both ministers defended themselves, the first incident was Justice Minister Dean Shelding Minister Rennie when he was due to appear before the supreme court and fail to do so and was fine. Liberians have called on the CDC government and its co-officials to work in the best interest of Liberians instead of themselves, noting that the election is in few months.
