As TECH IN LIBERIA™ 2026 Kicks Off 5-Year Milestone with County Roadshow
Buchanan, Grand Bassa County – The 2026 National County Roadshow was formally launched by Liberia’s premier technology and innovation platform, TECH IN LIBERIATM Conferences, in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, on March 27–28, 2026, at the Bassa Youth Caucus Conference Hall. TECH IN LIBERIA, which has been around for five years, began as the Monrovia Tech Summit in 2022 and has since grown into a national technology movement that reaches youth in several counties.
With over 50 speakers and over 30 sessions presented through county activations and the premier Monrovia conference, the 2026 edition represents the platform’s most ambitious expansion to date. As the only useful, county-based technology platform in the nation, TECH IN LIBERIA conferences stand out from the majority of technology events that are still centred in capital cities. They provide communities with practical training, innovation exhibits, and policy discussions.
“TECH IN LIBERIA was born from a simple belief that innovation must not be limited to the capital city,” said Peterking Quaye, Founder and Regional Director of TECH IN LIBERIA™ conference and Executive Director of WAICTANet. “For five years we have worked to build a national ecosystem where young people from every county can access technology skills, mentorship, and opportunity. The 2026 roadshow takes that vision even further by bringing digital empowerment directly to county capitals across Liberia.”
Grand Bassa, Margibi, Bong, River Gee, and Nimba are among the important counties that the TECH with LIBERIATM National County Roadshow will visit. The event will culminate with the TECH IN LIBERIATM Monrovia Edition, which is set for April 21–22, 2026, in Paynesville. The conference will offer practical digital skills workshops in fintech, cybersecurity, coding, and digital entrepreneurship at all locations. It will also feature mentorship clinics and startup pitch sessions, high-level policy panels with executives from the public and private sectors, as well as networking and investment opportunities that will link innovators with investors and partners.
Over 5,000 young people have been directly influenced by the platform since its introduction, and over 10,000 people in Liberia and the Mano River Union region have been impacted by broader outreach through collaborations, media, and internet participation.
The 2026 Conference Team member, Ms. Julateh Mulbah, emphasized that the event represents a critical opportunity to strengthen Liberia’s digital future and empower the next generation of innovators. “Technology is no longer optional for development it is essential,” said Ms. Julateh Mulbah, of TECH IN LIBERIA™ Conferences 2026. “This conference creates a space where young Liberians can learn practical skills, connect with mentors, and transform ideas into real solutions that benefit our communities.”
