Unity Party political Leader, Joseph Nyumah Boakai has urged Liberians to turn out to vote against the Coalition for Democratic Change government come 2023. According to him, Liberia has become a laughing stock among a comity of nations, a condition which triggers his desire to run for the nation’s higher seat.
As president of the Republic of Liberia, Ambassador Boakai promised to restructure the country within three years. He urged the people of Liberia to put their trust in him. He argued that Liberians should ask him to step down as president if he failed to deliver great leadership throughout his tenure in office.
The former Vice President promised to remain unbending in his quest to become president of Liberia, in an effort to put an end to the sufferings being imposed on Liberians by the Weah led-administration.
The UP Standard Bearer noted that Liberia is enduring the worst form of leadership under President George Weah. He expressed regret that the CDC government will treat Liberians in such form and manner when they took over the country on the basis of change noting that Liberians are yet to see the positive change of the CDC campaign during the 2017 general and Presidential elections former VP Boakai noted that citizens are living in abject poverty across the country.
The UP political Leader narrated that smaller countries in the South Region are far ahead in terms of infrastructure development, he cautioned the youthful generation to remain focused and advance themselves as the Future of the next generation lies in their hands.
He maintained that the Unity Party understand the current economic hardship that Liberians are currently going through on a daily basis, and at the same time cautioned citizens to remain focused and exercise their political franchise during the 2023 elections.
Amb. Boakai said every sector of the country has been broken under the CDC government, he named the lack of quality education, Poor health, ineffective governance, lack of constant electricity, and safe drinking water amongst other basic social service delivery are challenges that citizens confronted with.
The Opposition Unity Party Standard Bearer made the statement at an endorsement program held in Margibi County on Saturday, October 8, 2022.
