Coach Baar Returns to Liberia After Completing Prestigious Coaching Course in Hungary

Paynesville City—The Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) has officially welcomed Coach Wellay T. Baar back to Liberia following her successful completion of an international coaching program at the Hungarian University of Sports Science.

During a courtesy visit to the Ministry, Coach Baar presented her certificate to Youth and Sports Minister Cornelia Wonkerleh Kruah, highlighting Liberia’s ongoing commitment to sports development through education, professional training, and international exposure.

Minister Kruah congratulated Coach Baar for representing Liberia with excellence and applauded her dedication to developing basketball and empowering young athletes, especially girls, through sport.

A respected basketball coach and founder of the Spartacus Basketball Team, Coach Baar’s accomplishment marks another important milestone in strengthening Liberia’s sports sector and creating greater opportunities for young people.

The ministry expressed its eagerness to collaborate with Coach Baar in advancing grassroots sports development, identifying and nurturing young talent, and inspiring the next generation of Liberian athletes.
