Monrovia, Liberia – The Director General of the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS), Eugene Fahngon, is at the center of a growing controversy after a video surfaced exposing him allegedly coercing Momoh David to fabricate claims that he was tortured by Chinese national Michael Shio.
The alleged scheme, according to reports, was funded by Gao Feng, also known as “The Real Minister,” who purportedly bribed Fahngon with $500,000 to carry out this act.

The widely shared video on Fahgon’s Facebook page from February 12, 2025, depicts Fahgon advising Momoh David on how to react to certain accusations about his alleged torture and detention by Shio.
Oddly, Momoh David just responds with “yes” or “no” on the video, but Fahngon goes into detail about the alleged torture. This trend clearly implies that Fahngon allegedly made up the whole torture story.
In the video, Fahngon can be heard saying: “This actually happened on January 13.” He then asks Momoh David: “So you’ve been in the hospital since January 13?” and later repeats: “Since the 13th of January.” This statement implies that Momoh David was admitted to the hospital on January 13, 2025.
However, in the same video, Fahngon contradicts himself when he coerces Momoh David again, saying: “My understanding is that you spent three (3) days in that compound, is that true?”
Strangely, Momoh David does not answer his mother responds “yes” instead. This raises serious questions: If the alleged incident happened on January 13, 2025, and Momoh David was held in Shio’s compound for three days, then he should have left Shio’s compound on January 16, 2025, not been hospitalized since January 13, as Fahngon initially claimed.
This directly contradicts the official medical report that Momoh David was admitted to Hospital at 11:34 PM on January 17, 2025. The contradictions in a single video expose an apparent attempt by Fahngon to mislead the public and manipulate the legal system by fabricating evidence.
This suggests that Fahngon and Gao Feng (“The Real Minister”) may have conspired to use Momoh David (a notorious criminal) to falsely accuse Michael Shio.
