Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire – President Joseph Boakai has arrived in Côte d’Ivoire along with some government officials on Thursday, March 7, 2024, in the Ivorian capital, Abidjan.
When President Joseph Nyumah Boakai Sr. arrived at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny airport, Côte d’Ivoire government representatives and Liberia’s ambassador, Willie-Mae Tolbert King, greeted the head of state.
After then, President Alassane Ouattara welcomed President Boakai and his aides at the presidential palace in Plateau, Abidjan.
The head of state of Ivory Coast stated that both Liberia and Côte d’Ivoire had made great progress, promising the support and dedication of his administration in the areas of power, agriculture, and peace and security, among other things.
In addition, President Alassane Ouattara sent his sincere gratitude to President Joseph Nyumah Boakai Sr. and the Liberian people for allowing him to make Cote d’Ivoire his first official visit since his election in 2023.
The Liberia Leader reiterated the readiness and dedication of his administration to collaborating with Côte d’Ivoire in areas including development, agriculture, energy, peace, and security. He praised his counterpart for the degree of progress Côte d’Ivoire has made in recent years.
Amb. Boakai thanked President Alassane Ouattara and the people of Cote d’Ivoire for hosting the just ended African Cup of Nations and winning the competition.
