Former Liberian Chief Justice Madam Gloria Musu Scott has described Liberia as a laughingstock among the comity of Nations.
The former Elections Commission Boss said the lack of leadership, massive corruption; mysterious deaths characterized by impunity, and excruciating hardship among others are reasons Liberia is being ridiculed.
The Liberian legal and political luminary made the assertions when she served as guest speaker at the first National Convention of the Democratic People’s Party of Liberia (DPPL) held in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County over the weekend.
Madam Scott stated that she wondered why Liberia is still begging other nations for help when the Country has an abundance of resources.
Madam Scott used the occasion to stress the need for Liberians to elect visional and patriotic leaders in the upcoming 2023 general and Presidential Elections in the Country.
For his part, the Political Leader elected at the DPPL’s convention, Rev. David Kiamu vowed to provide good governance for the people of Liberia if elected as President in 2023.
